me and two other guys are going to valemount leaving on friday morning and coming back on tuesday. that gives 3 full days of sledding. we may leave from edmonton friday morning then get to valemount and still have time to ride for 3-4 hours before dark. but we will see. so if anyone is already heading up that way maybe a guy will see a guy up there.

I would soooooo be there....if it wasn't this weekend. The girlfriends birthday is on Saturday....I missed it last year because I was at a friends wedding in Jamaica...I'd be shot for sure (or at least single...don't really want that either) if I missed it this year. Make sure you post some pics, so I can get all poutty....then she'll feel sorry for me and tell me to go on the next mountain trip (as long as it never falls on Dec 17).

So how was your ride?We rode Valemount friday and Sat. We rode clemina both days and managed to find some Ok snow(2 feet of fresh) in morning glory.Oh my god was the trail ruffffff on friday.Thankgod they groomed on sat. :beerchug:

we started out late on friday up clemina but my cousins rear axle gave trouble and we only made it half way up so we turned around. saturaday we rode up this butt fuck path with a steep chunk of trail complete ice. this area is called the keyhole riding area. there is where i nailed a rock and ended my sledding cause i couldnt get parts. then on the way home i fucking hit a coyote. bastard just come out of nowhere and took out my plastic on my bumper so that should cost about $1000 with labour and parts but SGI is going to take care of that. drove from valemount back home today... about 10 hour drive. my cousin and another fellow sledder rode up Chappel creek and found snow wansnt the greatest. and the trail was extremely rough. i think that trail was about 20-25 km up the mountain. that makes for a bitchy ride. it dont matter what sled you have after that long it will beat the shit out of you. valemount should be good in february or early march. that is the only time im going to go up to the mountains again. should guarentee the best snow depth. here is a few pics. ill post a vid of my firecat damage and another small vid of the one spot we were at on the firecat board. also threw in a pic of a ford that was started in the morning.... couldnt fucking see in the parking lot.... just a haze! thought that was funny. didnt see no duramaxs smoking like that.
