I have a 1975 Arctic Cat Cheetah that my Grandfather bought new. It runs great and my son now rides it. I just bought a 1974 AMF Harley-Davidson 440. My Dad has a 1968 Polaris. I think it's a Mustang. He also has a 1972 Polaris Colt 295 SS and many many old Arctic Cats.

Here's a shot of my grandpa and one of the two Rupps we had. I think they were '71 440WT sleds. I'm trying to chase them down so see if they still exist and if they might be restorable

Currently tearing down an '80 Jag 3000 for restore...

with an '81 Jag 4000 queued up next.

I have three old sleds at the moment, which I have become active in racing in a '73 and older racing series. My favorite is a '73 Rupp Nitro 295 twin that I have been very successful with. The others are both Cat, (1) '72 Puma 340 Kawasaki twin and a '72 Panther Rotary
Wankel 303. They are all pretty scary but an absolute riot to race.

Click to view attachmentI have a '71 Rupp Magnum 440...it was originally a '72 Nitro chassis ,and440 drivetrain, but someone had ripped out all of the bracing, hinges, and hood pieces...they replaced the tank and jammed on a '71 Magnum 400 hood. It was a mess when I bought it, and it's more of a rebuild than a restore, but my Dad had one when I was a kid and I loved that sled, soooo...it's still not totally finished, but it runs and looks okay. Here's a pic from the Vinatge Rally at Lake Belwood last weekend.
PS. My next project is a pair of basket case old Jag 340 free airs that I plan to build in to one not-so-basket case!

Jag's on the back burner...picked up a '67 Olympique "Ice Fisherman Special" this winter, working on a '69 Rupp SnoSport GT300, and JUST picked up a nice '70 Scorpion Mark II...hopefully all three of these will be good to go for next winter!!

My first sled, an 87 340 Yamaha Excel III.
Sadly I let it sit unused for 8 years but just got it running again.
I plan to restore it this summer.
Needs a new track, hopefully i can fit a longer one.
They are a lot of fun

There's something about them vintage ones... Here's my '70 Panther w/440 JLO twin... its a fun cruiser.
