Hi All,
New member here, but I'm a life-long vintage collector. We have been riding & collecting Raider Twin Track sleds since they were new. I still have the 2 Raiders my father purchased in 1972-3.
In this photo (front to back):
'74 Raider 44TT Eagle - ground-up "0" miles restoration. 440/21 reed CCW
'74 Raiger Double Eagle - All original except for paint & decals. 440/22 reed CCW
'83 Trail Manta - original 340l/c Fuji TX/L motor 2x pipes - One of about 100 '83s, all original except for some paint on the rear tunnels.
'01 Trail Roamer - converted to '03 500l/c Fuji 2-stroke, Polaris clutches, removable body, custom paint.

In this photo (front to back):
'75 Raider Double Eagle - Yep, that's the correct color, with original Kohler 440AS/2 motor.
'74 DE same one as above.
'73 Raider - Twin Eagle Custom built 2-seat Raider - 440cc reed, Chromalusion paint.
3 more '73 & '74 Raider 44TT's. Red one is a custom painted sled for my wife. She wanted a red one; it's good to keep her happy, when I'm dragging home Raider hulks.

Some other's of interest:
'71 Raider - 290 JLO single with electric start. One of about 100 '71s.
'72 Raider - 290 CCW Twin. Mint original. Thanks Joe!!
'73 Raider 34TT - 15 original miles. Too nice to even put on snow!! Kind of sad!
'72 Raider Bandit Racer - In need of restoration. Need a Hirth f/c twin to put it together.
'75 Raider "Blue Eagle" - Original, & running, but needs restoration.
'75 Sno-Pro Manta Racer - One of 2 that were blue.
'01 Trail Roamer - All stock, and one of the last ones completed & sold. They were experimenting with different graphics.
Single Tracks:
'72 Scorpion Stinger III - 400cc - Widetrack; Great for work, & trailbreaking.
'77 Polaris TX/L 340
2-'73 Kitty Cats for the kids.

Great Site!

seen this sled at the houghton lake show , nice lookin sled
CHRISTIN_FAM
Not sure if they're vintage yet or not, but we have two '87 Yamaha Phazers.

They were our first sleds, but now we're looking to sell one of them ASAP so we can upgrade this winter.

It's in good shape for a 20-year-old sled. Has studded track and has been very reliable for us...just needs a little TLC to keep it running for another 4000 (or more) miles. Started up yesterday on the third pull...anyone interested[i]? Send me a PM or email at knz28@yahoo.com.

sparks,
Awesome looking sleds!!

thanks, that's about 6 years of searching, aquiring and restoring. Most work was on the Massey. The Merc i just got. i like the sleds that have some uniqueness.

The merc for example has RER (reverse) like the new SkiDoos in that the engine runs backwards, the difference is this one you have to stop the engine and start it backwards, there are 2 starter motors - one for forward and one for backwards. In addition the exhaust runs under the seat like the new Yamahas.

The Johnson has a Nuetral and 20" track.

I have 1966 Johnson Skee Horse in nice shape. Here is a picture of it 2 years ago. I bought it this spring and the owner has done a bunch of work to it. It looks much better than the picture. So I get to enjoy taking it to some of the old timers shows. My brother also has a1972 Ski Doo Olympique 399 that has been restored. So summer is over LET IT SNOW so we can go to the shows

My best is the 79 srx you see in the profile, the one I ride in all the antique runs is a 72 Alouette Venture(the 79 is a little finicky and too fast to run with the oldies) there is also a 71 moto ski mini snow in my dads garage.

Actually 7500 decals, it runs like a 7500 with just a tad more suspension travel. However nothing like new sleds . . .

I found a 79 moto ski ultra sonic in my brother in laws woods! Were stripping it down and turing it into a vintage dragger. Anyone have any tips to make this old 440 wicked fast? Thanks, -windsor
