I am currently at work (bummer) and just talked to my friend as he came down Rt. 31 into Somerset. It was about what he expected, but he accomplished what he wanted. He belongs to the club so he parked there. He was with a girlfriend who has never ridden before so he had her run up and down the dragstrip on a ZL600, and he took her south of Rt. 31 to that field about a mile or so south. He did not head north across the turnpike, but he said he talked to riders who said it was rocky. This is indeed a rocky area. Heck, the parking area by the groomer shed is right next to a quarry! Anyway, it was snowing all the way into Somerset on his way out, Rt. 31 was covered. More snow coming this week, but warm temps expected on Thurs, Fri, and Sat. If conditions get a bit better I will be up there next weekend. He said quite a few rigs at the club as well as the parking are off Rt. 31. DNR was there, which they usually are on a weekend. QuadRacer, I will definitely give you a shout if I am coming up! :beerchug: :fluffy:

You guys will probably think im bullshitin, but saturday night we rode from my cabin near 7-Springs all the way to Wallet's on 30. The trails were tracked up a little but we didn't pass a single sled on the way there. All the gates were open and there weren't any vehicles in the parking lots or club house. Over by the turnpike bridge it was rocky on both sides but thats expected over there. Trails were better than most of the times I road all of last year due to few sleds on the trail. Laurel Summit road was 90mph all the way. Over Wallet's there was about 10 to 15 sleds in the lot. We road all night and didn't get back till 4am. I could not believe how good it was and I almost left for home saturday night, glad I tried it.
