Have they started any packing or grooming as of yet? How much snow do they have? Is there any hope for opening day? :cn:

Snow depth varies with elevation, but at my house in Derby at about 800' there is 7". Forecast for the rest of this week doesn't call for any big dumps, just a few more inches, so things don't look great for opening on the 19th. Places like Island Pond might be able to start some grooming late this week.

If it is like previous years then IP does not start grooming until opening day which as you know is the 19th this year.

If today was the 19th, trails would be closed. I've been riding (my own land) since Thanksgiving and conditions went from 2' down to 8" and last weekend just about 4". This Friday it looks good for a storm. Just wait and see. Remember last year it was like dirt biking until mid January. I did find a moose rack with low snow conditions, freaken rip my seat getting it home.
