I just got back from Iraq and plan on converting my old sno-cross sled to a trail sled.
I believe all I need is:
Large tank
92 Octane Head
oil injection set up and tank from a 600 pro x
Is there anything else I'll need or info I should know before I start on the trail swap.
Right now I'm using my 01 Pro X and it was the last year for a direct trail to race sled and it's a blast to ride. So one more can't hurt since I cant' get much out it by selling it.

My friend just put a quarter size hole in this 440's piston, first ride of this year. DO NOT just change the switch to 93! You have to change to low comp. domes. But that is pretty much it. They are pretty tempermental. Good Luck

okay
here's what ya need.
high domes 92 octane.
do you have a timing switch? if not next issue.
clutch engagement is at 5000
way too high she'll burn up before you get five miles down the trail.
stock top gear is 19 go to 21 (60mph up to 70)
stock clutch should be a red almond spring .218" diameter 4.29"length. 165-310lbs
switch to a lighter spring red/blue .207" dia 4.00 " 150-290lbs
so your sled will engage at 3800 top out at 70-75 and is rideable in the power range at 30-55mph.
yeah I was going 60 mph 8500 rpm and all the sudden something didnt feel right....
