Thats not bad for no studs,500 feet in grass the Mph is usually 86 and 660' of ice(no snow the usual is) 90 MPh on the stock 800's.

I ran 79 mph in 500 ft. with my 600. I would think you should see mid 80's with your 800. Plus you have 160 more ft.

Very difficult to compare numbers from different conditions. If you have your sled clutched well and jetted decent you should be around 85-87. single pipe, clutching, jetting etc should be 90 plus.
These are the the numbers I use to benchmark with. Hardpack snow and 1.25 tracks, decent conditions are what the numbers are from.

Nice that you could get such good power from a stock 800, i also have a proxr800 -04, keep up the good work! /A

Your MPH seems low but hows your ET's. You can run 90 MPH an a guy that's running 85 MPH an a lower ET will beat you in a drag race. You may be covering the 660 feet qwicker than most other sleds. They could have higher ET's which is allowing them to build up more speed because there not covering the 660 feet as qwick as you. Did you do any head to head racing?

Wow1.gif These numbers that I read are great. My sled got a great hole shot and I dont think it can go any faster for a proxr800 motor and chassie.. I will hit the radar runs everyweekend and let you guys know. I did no head to head racing. but last year I raced an 05 Firecat 700 and beat him in a 660 but he smoked me top end. I will try to do some more testing this weeken. Thanks for everybodies 2 cents

It can go faster cody, the numbers I posted are realistic for good hardpack snow conditions. 77 mph may be a great number for the conditions you had, just look for 85 to 87 mph when you know conditions are good. A helix/spring change gave almost 4 mph (dropped et also) on the last 800 xc I clutched. Jetting is important as well.
A good running F7 with a clutch kit will hit 90 in 660

Now wheres that 150 hp cody?

:banghead: I am begining to wonder myself maybe his dyno is off way off.

Drop the mains 2 more sizes, stock needle setting, and add some primary weight, to about 70 grams, with an almond/red spring.

Conditions will almost make this kind of thread impossible. In ideal conditions, i.e good hard pack. Where I test short runs I ran 620' (bend in river comes a little quick for 660'. I'm usually in the 90-93 mph range on radar. 500' was 83-86 mph. 1" track no studs. How's it goin' Minus-40, long time no type. I guess it's called summer, lol.

Hey dog700, ya long time- just waiting for enough snow. I'll have to drop you a mail soon.
