Got about 3'' here in the FORT. How much ya got their? It would be interisting to know considering your closer to the lake. :cn:
lakeeffectsledhead
We got 2-3" here in South Bend. Saw several idiots out on the trail. Hopefully there will be some left when we get more snow this week.
BudMan
I was by a friends house today and our boys got to ride all day while we watched football .He has a mini z and a yamaha snow scoot. yeah if I had to guess ,I'd say they put 100 miles on them riding circles around his house. And ran them out of gas a couple times.

ditto i still have some grass showing

the spots I seen on the Buffalo Run where it had been riden looked awfully thin(lunch today), but looked like only a few couldn't wait. Had to laugh at Mike Hoffman on 16 weather this evening...would not committ to forecasting any lake effect wed/thurs as he stated he's been burned twice already(thinking to myself NOSHIT)

Sure seems to be a lot of quad tracks out there...??

If our formula holds true...that equals 1.5 tonight and 2 tomorrow(1st number cut in half), not being pessimistic, just realistic. If they do get 3 tonight, I may be heading that way myself...

I watched the forecast and thought the same thing. Not putting your neck on the line, eh Mike!? You would think that after getting it wrong so many times they could tell when the air is too dry to get Lake effect snow or not. Geeeeezzzzzz.

Quad tracks, some club members were still putting in trail signs as late as Sunday. Hopefully those are the tracks you saw.

No, No, not too harsh. Actually, if none of the landowners complain, the idiot rider going over 2" of snow is mowing down the leftover corn stalks and smoothing out the dirt somewhat for the rest of us! grinning-smiley-023.gif

Doesn't take a genius to see SW MI is getting plenty of snow...I guess I don't understand the end of your post, sounds quite childish to me. Some people's schedules are not as flexible as others.

Let's see what Ricky Mecklingberg says ...He's been sayin in commericals that South Bend may get up to 4 inches by Fri. night.

I think he likes sticking his neck out!
LOL!

:frech32:

Just sent Mecklingberg an e-mail about Snowmobilers wanting snow.

Let's see what he says...

Watch TV 22 at 11:00pm and see if he mentions something about snowmobiling!...

My sister near Wayland says they have about 12" of snow, all fluff. So, you may get a ride in up there, but it will be bumpy, and by the time you get there it will have been well ridden.

Niles does have about 6-7", but it's just as bad. Don't believe the internet? Go for a ride and find out.

ZLZEBUB, the reason you don't see updates on fishweb and other places on the internet is because the snow is VERY marginal and they need more snow. 6-7" of fluff is gone after only a couple sleds guys.
BudMan
I would have to second what LakeEffect said ,I rode niles end of last year there was 2 feet of snow everywhere except on the trail.the mourning was great the ride back was dirt .seen so many high horse power sleds up there they just wipe the trail out.all revs and f7's .you better ride when it's snowing

I live in Warsaw and all I can say is that if we get enough to buzz around I'm personally gonna ring the guys neck who's taken over 3 weeks to powdercoat my front suspension!

Getting off at noon tomorrow...going to dump at S Bend Speedway or up on Sycamore Rd early afternoon...see ya on the trails if anybody shows up.

Laporte has a little over 3" new snow 5:45 CST...latest report says our area includes SB will get 5-7" maybe more, who cares we got enough now.
MachZMan
We've got about 5 inches in Lafayette right now. It was lots of fun getting home from work in the mustang. I wish I had some sleds here instead of at home in Huntington.
shempsledder
We went out this eve. on the country back roads...Lots of powder. Had a great time till I hit a deer!

All is ok with the sled and myself. I just knicked it. Felt sorry for it and glad I wasn't hitting the throttle!

Be careful out there!
