Full Version: Chain Case Oil

I have a Skidoo Formula SS, I have seen lots of post on oil stating you can put just about any Synthetic Gear oil or ATF in the chaincase. I saw one stating 15w50. The thinnest gear oil I could find around here was 75w90. Would this be too thick or should it be all right? Or should I buy Synthetic motor oil? (say 15w40) :celebrating:

Thanks

silent chains require synthetic oil. chain cases and gears and a chain is $1000 bucks or more where i come from, lol and if the chain breaks cause its not protected the synthetic oil is gonna look pretty cheap and i dunno if you have bardhal where you are but its the cheapest ive found.
