I would say yes. I have an 03 SKS, and I have bottomed it out a couple of times. I have considered studding it, and I would certainly put the tunnel protectors in.

I read in another thread that you upgraded to Walker Evans shocks, did you have the cheap shocks before or the Ryde FXs?

yes they were pretty basic. I have to say though I never rode the sled with those shocks. I bought the sled late last spring used.( my 05 project sled.)

Yep

You gotta put in tunnel protectors as there are none on the RMK/Switch tunnel.
It will get ugly without them!
