For those that are interested I'm putting together a ride out of Houghton Lake. Here are the details.

January 14th-15th (weather permitting)

My cottage can sleep 9 with one on the floor.

4 single beds
1 double bed
1 queen pull out
1 couch
floor

Fridays departure will be after work around 4:30-5
Unload, bullshit, drink, sleep

Saturday will be an early start on the trail by 7-8 am
Ride all day one big loop

Sunday will be more relaxed on departure time and miles will be lower since we have to get home still.


First come first serve so if your interested let me know asap. I'm sure Yamahauler has room at his place as well if he is interested in participating. His cottage is about 3 miles from mine.

The only requirements will be to bring a sleeping bag, pillow case/pillow, wash cloth and towel.

There will be no drinking and riding on this weekend...all drinking will take place after we get back.

Got a place on Higgins. Might be up there at that time. If so myself and calebjsdad can meet up with you guys. I am unsure if I will be up that weekend. I will get in touch.

Isn't Houghton Lake an Hour north of Cadillac? I was supposed to go up there, but I might move it to where you guys are at. What hotels are close?

It's pretty easy to get to the Higgins Lake trail from Polarisidiots place.

This is the place but we are close to the trail so it's never a real problem for me. We ride north so we we don't have to deal with it as much as the guys that ride the H.L. trail system.

It's pretty easy to get to the Northshore Lounge from there too.

I'm not big on that place...it's at the end of our road.

You know, I dont really go there much, I actually spend most of my money at The Sandbar. I know it's the probably the dumpiest place in Houghton Lake, but thats what I like about it and the drinks are the probably the cheapest in town. Plus I can act like an idiot and not get kicked out.

Last year we did alot of lake racing, but I trail rode more still.

This year will be all trails except for the big weekends we'll be on the lakes (phatman shootout, etc).....
