Checking to see if anyone out else out there has a SWT and if so what do you use it for? and have you done anything to it?
*Dave*
what is SWT?????? dunno.gif
Bush Guy
SWT is the Ski-Doo Skandic Super Wide Track. Its Ski-doo's work machine that has a 24" x 156" track. I will post some pics of mine here later.

24 by 156 track, wow. i'd like to see some pics of that bad boy....

Few mods done to it. One was the addition of a Warn 4.0 ci winch rated for 4,000lb. This winch was made to fit the rear and front of the machine via 2 receivers and quick disconnects for the wire. The other one was to add a second battery to help carry the load of winching, and the last one so far was to take the snow flap off so I can back out of just about anything.

but on a serious note those must make really good work sleds, lets us know how they work

I have been in snow (last year with a buddies SWT) where I have stepped off and sunk to my chest and the machine pulling a UHMW sled was only sinking about 3 inches. No problems with backing up in the deep snow either like the old skinny tracked machines. Want to talk about work I was pulling green trees that were 20' long with 12" tops out of the woods in low gear with out a problem. They are truly work horses. Now I'm a total Polaris guy but there is no machine that compairs so I had to get it for what I need. The draw back is that it has a 550 fan.

awesome machine man. do you use it for casual riding or is that beast just for working. i dont think i've ever seen one of those before...
Bush Guy
Well I live in teach in bush alalska and that is my fun/work machine. When I leave bush alalska I ride an RMK 700. So to say yes it is work and yes it is fun. I do alot of trail breaking and such with it.
