I know that very few of us have had any time on a new Switchback, but I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion on the stock skis (both on and off trail). I was thinking that a set of white C&A's (probably the AD model, since my girlfriend will be riding this sled quite a bit and I don't want the turning effort to increase a lot) would look great with the racer graphics, but if the AD's aren't much better than the stockers, it probably wouldn't be worth the extra $$$. Any thoughts on this?

Ive heard that the stock Sidehiller 2's i think they are, are very good. At least give them a try I would say before getting C&A's.

Well, Hopefully now some of you switchback riders have some miles on your new skies, I to would like to get some input on polaris new ski, I have read every sno/mo mag in the last three months and not one editor has given us a comment on the new skies, but i sure have heard everything there is, on Ski Doo's new skies. Whats' up with that? :banghead:

I could be wrong, but I don't think the skis on the '06 Switchback are Sidehiller 2's. If you look at the parts diagrams at
http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp, you'll see that the Switchback and Fusion use the same stock skis, and the RMK uses a different ski. In previous years, I think the Switchback used the same skis as the RMK, but that's not the case this year. I would assume the RMK skis are the Sidehillers, so I'm not sure which skis are on the Switchback and Fusion (if those skis even have a name). Anybody know?

Your rite the switchback and fusion skis are the same, not Sidehiller 2's, but the skis are a new design for 06, this is the ski I would like to get some input on. Are they good? Bad? do they push in the corners? how's the tracking?

Guy I know who works for Poo (doing fun stuff), says these new skis are the first Poo skis he won't be replacing right off the bat. They're supposed to be really good. I trust this guy's opinion. Give them a shot!

Granted that we only have about 4 inches of fluffy stuff, however I have been impressed with the skis so far. I have a pair of SLP TriKeel II's that I am holding off until I can give the stock ones a good try.

Yea! I hear ya, I have a pair of simmons skis from my 800XC i'm holding on to just in case these new skis suck! as most of poos old skis did. I like the new keel design on the new ski . will have to wait for a few more weeks before I can get out. Still waiting on my parts to come in. I'm freaking out, Sleds been sitting in the garage for the last five weeks.
