Do you guys mess around much with the front limiter straps on the rear suspension? I know on my old Indy, by changing the strap length, it changes the weight on the front skis. Does it do the same for the XC? If so, what have you found to be the best setting? Right know, I have it set-up just a tad beyond taking the slack out of the straps.

I would say they work well for setting ski pressure. I like that they can be adjusted with nuts instead of having to move the straps to different holes.
I have my 99 xc setup the same as you, straps all the way out. And tighten them a little as the carbide on the skis wears down.

I would totally agree with ivar, loosen them up all the way and maybe keep some tension on them and tighten a little to get more ski pressure as the carbide wears.

Not only loosen the limited would take the ski pressure off, it will also give you a greater weight transfer when racing. So that you know - WL.
