Tired of the 3 and 5 year plan bs that spouts out of the Fords face holes. The Lions need a win now type atmosphere to come in. Need a coach that can coach the type of players we have for offense and not a "system" coach (aka west coast).

I have to agree with Scooter on this one. Mooch had no choice in the draft picks, sure he was familiar with the west coast, and that seems to be the way the management wanted to go, but they need players capable of west coast type offenses. I say keep Mooch, fire Millen, and the Ford family needs to sell out to someone who wants to win.

Millen would be the first step. They need somebody in there to tell the Fords off when its time to do his job. Why even have a general manager if the Fords control everything anyway. Its a loose/loose situation. The coach usually and always takes the heat and has to be the first fired.

What the lions need is a coach like john gruden in tampa or bill cowher in Pittsburgh. I'm not sayings its 100% the coaches fault cause its not. But i really think someone needs to get a hold of some of our "finer" highwe draft pics in the last couple years. The lions need a coach that they somewhat fear. I tihnk this is true for all sports. You cant have a coach that the players dont fear. If players have that fear then they will hustle and such. Not saying a player and coach cant be friends. I guess i'm talking from expereince in hockey from mini-mites all the way up through Junior A. All the winning teams i have been on...the coach will get in your shit if you fuck up and let you know what you are doing wrong. The coach will get mad if we lost or played like shit. Lets face it, you could take the intire indy team and bring them here sunday and put them in lions uniforms and they would still loose, its a omen, no way out of it, look at some of the players that played for the lions that sucked big time while they were here and when traded to other teams looked like totaly different players, lets face it there is a curse on this team and they will always be a bunch of no good losers no matter who is coaching.

Players should be like at work. If they don't perform, write them up. After three write ups they get 3 days off. If the still don't perform....YOU FIRE THEM!!!
