hey guys speedo doestn work i hear it happens alot do i just need a new cable maybe how to i check

Pull the driven clutch off and remove the speedometer cable, then remove the speedo adaptor from the sled. There is a small spring cable that goes from the adapter into the drive shaft. My guess is that is broke and you will probably find that the bearing is shot. That is the first indication of a bad bearing on cat sleds that have a cable to run the speedo. Good luck.

also check the drive shaft bearing. usually when it goes, it will shear the speedo key.
