Great news Mid Range! Help me out a little. I am planning a trip in Feb, probably 3 or 4 full days of riding, departing from my family's place in Lac St Charles (just North of Quebec City). I definately would like to get up to Mt Valins this time, and also maybe check out the Sagunay Fiord. Last year we spent a few nights at L'Etape and rode from there, mostly 23, 369, and 3. Was not at all impressed with the section of 3 from Mt St-Anne to QC (too much dirt / logging) but the secondary trails were awesome. Also, the groomer was unfortunately broken down for several days on 23, making for some serious moguls. What do you recomend for a loop that gets me to mt valins, with good scenic trails? 200 + miles a day is ok (especially if the trails are groomed this time!). Also, what do you recomend for lodging (relatively cheap / secure). Thanks for all the updates. ps - I'd like to read that article if you could give me a link - french really isn't that hard...

I agree this is great news... losing part of 325 was bad enough...Another option we perfer is to stay more west using 73, 355 or a combination of both when heading to Lac St Jean, or back...it seems to work better for us as far as our schedule allows. Plus theres alot of nice riding around the west and north sides of the lake I would probably skip if using 23 to Mt Valin.
