i think my front shocks on my 04 xc 800 are faded pretty bad , but wanna know just how bad they where last year too , when i lift the front of the sled all the way up and then let it up , the front goes almost all the way down , i will post a pic to show you all , so if some1 that just rebuilt the front shocks can measure from the floor in the middle of the front of the sled to the bottom where the belly pan goes and let me know ,i would really appreciate it

Stock dual wound/rate springs are pretty wimpy even when new. I would doubt you would notice the difference with new ones. The primary windings are nearly coil bound normally. Stock XC spring is rated at 68/160. There's a 90/180 available, and lot's of other options depending on what you want to do/are willing to spend.

Its at 8 1/2 inchs at front of balkhead

the shocks have nothing to do with it. Its all springs if it is sagging. The standard XC comes with oil shocks that have no gas and they sit no lower then the fox or ryde units.
