Somebody give me part number for this? Left it in shop don't have number but would like to match it up. Thought black/red would have red marks on it and it doesn't. I'm confident guy at dealership is pretty sharp with parts, was able to rattle off springs rates and such.
Brock
The black/red part # 7042198 and it's 155/222

I think when they changed the springs to ccw. Polaris left the black/red to all black.

Okay spring I have is number 7043063. It's a CCW and its all black.

It's going on a '04 Classic 800 along with 68 gram weights and a black/white primary spring. The guy I'm doing it for got the recommendation from pockets I believe.

The '04 800 Classic had a 7043063 spring in the secondary when it was built, according to my reference materials.

7042198 is a black/red 155 - 222 Right Hand or Clockwise wound spring.
this now supercedes to 7043063 black, LH There was too much I.D. confusion between the black/red and the red/black springs

7043063 black 155 -222 LH or CounterClockwise wound spring It is equivalent to a Team 210182 spring It is used on '03-05 700/800 and '05 900 Fusion/Switchbacks and some early build '04 500 XC SP.

Thanks for clearing things up. :div20:
Ronny
my 04 700 prox came with a team spring stock. stock spring was wound opposite of the spring that was recommended to replace it with due to binding. i upgraded($24).

can you explain which is the improved winding clockwise or counter?

i have both springs at home and the old one is labled as such so i guess i could determine myself. now this may sound dumb but i swapped out the replacement secondary spring for another(weaker) per the recommendation of this board. along with was heavier weights and almond/blue primary. most recent seconday spring was purchased 01/2005 so i hope poo dealer sold me the correct upgraded winding be it clockwise or counter clockwise.

if i post stock number can it be determined if it is the better winding?

now this may seem really dumb but does it matter which way spring is installed? meaning is there a top or bottom? i just gave sec to dealer and they popped it back in shop.

The ccw is the newer version. You can look at the spring and see what way it's wound. You can put the spring in either way.

The red/blue team # is 210181. You could use the team 420719 helix with your 600 or like a 66/44 or 66/42. Depends on what your trying to achieve.
T. King
Trying to just get a quick trail sled- not interested in lake drags. Who's number is the 420719. I do not see a 66/44 or 66/42 in the Erlandson book- is that a Po part/ Thanks
redxcr440
That part # is teams. Denniskirk has more than 10 off them on hand.
$104 each.
