looking to build a pig roaster from a 275 gallon drum. And info would be helpful.

I saw somthing like that once. They had cut the barrel down the middle and laid it sideways on a trailer frame of some sort. One half was the area for charcoal, and the other was a lid for it all. They cut holes in the middle of it for a rotisserie spindel that went through it all, with an actual chain-driven rotisserie that was powered by a small electric motor that turned VERY slow.

I wish I could give you a better idea of what it looked like, or how it worked. That's all I remember.

I would not use a used oil drum they say that a lot of the carsonogenics are leached from the metal every time it burns and can enter the meat. From what Ive saw it might be easier to build a oven out of cinder blocks or cook in a pit. Good luck
