I was in Amherst the other day and saw the new sleds the DNR enforcement team are going to ride. They all just landed at the Cat dealer, and were still in the crate. 570cc fan cooled Panthers!! Just another example of how uneducated our provincial goverment is. :frech32: Why in this day and age would they not have purchased a 4 stroke (cat, polaris, or yamaha). With all the public concern over noise and emission levels plus the advantage of fuel economy. :frech32: They were more concerned about buying the cheapest sled, than ever looking at the facts or even asking someone that might be knowledgable in the sledding industry. :frech32:

:banghead: Typical uninformed approach, won't be able to catch too many speeders with those sleds. They may have to lay down the spike belts. :fluffy:

Last March Break i was over to NFLD and where I was at I guess they had 2 Mach Z 1000's...I dind't see them, but what I was told.

A fan is not going to catch people, maybe a Yamaha. You are right they should of did some research before buying the cheap sled. In the long run it will probably cost more. They can't be everywhere all of the time anyway, what a waste of tax payers money.

Jeez guys. Think! I don't think high speed pursuit is the purpose here, after all, speed on the trail is dangerous enough. You may be able to outrun them but when 2 of them are across the trail creating a checkpoint I doubt you'll have the balls to smash through.

Good point Weiner I think it is so they can go from point A to B and have the spot checks and to show the public they are out there.....

Yeah never tho they could be Cape Breton Stock law enforcement sleds....
SNOWDEVIL
Seen checkpoints before in the highlands but only once.
Caper711 ran one one time and they caught him on his 711....LOL
Hey Green Meanie...we goin out tomorrow or what?

Good Point indeed Weiner, although some would say we'll just jump over the 2 sled checkpoint. J/K :fluffy:

There not worryed about cating speeders since there is no real speed laws. Also it is tough to outrun a radio.

Well now, sounds like the Nova Scotia sleds are a bit faster than the Nfld ones  :beerchug:
