More time in the saddle, and it keeps gettin better, ran the river and some windswept trails, found a nice flat section on the river, and got a few BRAAAPs on it, and in the process the XF hit 101mph on the digital speedo... seems to have more, but the traction was way down, and the section of flat Ice was "short" so to speak... I can't wait to mess with the belts and clutch weights and install the D&D Y and Bikeman goods...

I think the most impressive thing about this sled is the RIDE. It all works way well, better than anything I have ever tried.

I've ridden the revs, was not my thing, but this XF is such an easy ride, sorta like a horny old girl friend, always there, with the right attitude...and eager to be ridden hard

Anyways,

the seat is awesome, it is a great part of the suspension, it's firm and offers great manuverability, not to mention the storage.

The brakes have taken set, and feel much better now. I "burned them in" and after that, they have been very responsive.

I still can't get over how well this thing jumps, and just plain handles,

Will be studding after 300 miles, will add the go fast mods as soon as I get the last few gallons of premix outta the system.

sure wish we had some more snow, but there is enough to get by, my SLP carbides are already dull and chipped, but I'm willing to put up with that!

Engine seems strong, and I suspect there is alot more there, just a matter of getting through that dang secondary... IQ belt goes on real soon!

Right on dude! Sounds pretty quick. When we had snow the other week i took the F7 out to the Munz air strip and topped it out at 106 on the speedo. Need more snow though! :div20:

My crossfire feels numb.. the power feels like it is there and it backs off it.. A friend of my said he had the same problem with his F7 SP last year.. What is the problem with the clutch? It is just numb the power feels like its almost there and it dies out.. any info would be appreciated
UNKnXFIRE
I suspect that the secondary is loosing it's grip, and is the belt is spinnng on it, I will be trying a new POO belt and a few gram lighter primary weights, also I suspect that the spring tension on the secondary needs to be wound up....

DUNNO has great info here and on Arcticchat.com, do a search, he's been messing with his for a while now.

where did you hear this? And what more info can you give?

How's the ride compared to a F7 ? Suppose to have basicly the same front end, so does it turn better than the F7 or about the same??

I've never ridden a F7 , but I can say the X7 eats the bumps , and turns just fine, feels very light.... I believe once we get more snow, it will be a great trail sled....
UNKnXFIRE
I'm coming off an 04 EXT, so it seems better to me,

On high speed sweeper turns, is stays fairly glued, and is very predictable....

it absorbs the bumps very well and is quick outta the hole, not as light as the F7's but feels more stable than the EXT...

the EXT liked to drop the tail when jumping, the X just flies, nice and level and is easy to throw around in the air, it respods very well to input, and the harder you drive it... the better it seems.

I just has a better overall balance I'd have to say...

If you are losing power and can't figure it out, have a look at the stator, I sold a perfecly good ZR 6 due to this, and I really liked that sled. Dealer replaced the stator for the next owner and it ran like a top.
