What do you guys think?? I have a slight fray in one. Is it something to worry about. If it is do you know where you can get them cheeper. My local dealer wanted $80.00 for them. The sled has 2400 miles on it.

Replace it...............the cable frays when the valve sticks and the cable gets bent partially over backwards. More prone to happening in super cold weather.

Check your power valves. This is usually a sign that they are ahnging up.
Replace the cable . They are approx 52-54 cdn

Replace em and clean the valves. Don't know of anywhere to get them cheaper, cost me about $80.00 last year to do mine.

The APVs on the old 600s suck. I clean them every 1000 now. The rounds
hang up alot easer then the flats...4100 miles and both cables are new.
Runs great when the APV is right. Very good on oil and fuel and much
better low end then the 600 without.. The 600 without is a pig and the
500 isnt any better..

Thanks for the feedback. I have cleaned them every season they were nasty when I bought the sled. I just cleaned them for this season and seen one was frayed. I will fix them now THANKS...

Caseyzr,

How did your APV's look after running Amsoil for a year? Did you still have to clean them?
