How do you get the side panels open? I have been trying but I don't want to break anything and it should not be that hard to open> dunno.gif dunno.gif dunno.gif dunno.gif

carefully, i about broke mine off at the dealership when i picked it up. you have to lift and pulls at the same time, once you do it you'll get the hang of it. it is alot more difficult than it should be!

The side panels DO NOT open easily!!! :banghead: And yes, you think you're gonna break them off when trying to open them...but they will open without breakage (so far dunno.gif ) I think Polaris wanted to be sure that the panels did not "pop" open by themselves when landing hard from jumps, etc...I love watching Slednecks, and videos of the like, and seeing all the Rev's hoods fly open when landing jumps, and doing backflips. I know it's no big deal, but it still looks cheasy frech11.gif

They are a PITA to open. I thought I was goign to break them as well in the showroom. They will probably loosen up.

Really simple to open actually.... There's an indentation at the bottom, push up here and pull up and out the topside "latch" first. The bottom one comes undone without and force.

I read in an article a month or so ago that tested the fusion. They said that their side panals kept falling off in rough bump. They are easy to take off once you get the hang of it, but i never had one fall off while riding. you just have to make sure that the tabs on in the right spot.

I would strongly guess that the sidepanels that kept coming off, were never properly latched in the first place! Can you imagine how carefully the magazine drivers listen to the pre-ride briefing?

You know they don't even have an owner's manual to look at.

I agree....... :div20: If the mag riders had side panels that were falling off, and the panels were PROPERLY latched, then they must have been playing chicken with some trees! frech11.gif :frech32:

My right side panel only open up once last year, it was at night and we were screwing around and some guy cleared the ice with a blade so I come up to it stop, take a look (it looked smaller I swear) and i figured f**k it so I pin it wot and go vertical and I landed hard ,I thought I bent the tunnel and all I hear is the guys laughing through the communicators, I was laughing so hard I fell off. only the right side opened,no damage to the sled, who says fusions aint tough :beerchug:

Just one more bit of proof to the validity of magazine articles. They should have a disclaimer on the cover.

Never lost a side cover and also had a roll over in Presque Isle where the sled encurred $2,800 damage. Don't believe all you read about the Fusion, on here or in a magazine. :cn: :beerchug:
