This year my buddy is going to be riding a 2003 Polaris Vertical Escape 800 w/ a 159" Track 2" lugs. Stock. I am going to be riding a 1995 Arctic Cat ZRT 800 I believe completely stock with stock track size (121" x right around 1.25" lug I believe??) .. I haven't picked it up yet, and my boss (whom i'm buying it from) is clueless if it's had any modifications or not... he just knows it's been gone through inside and out by a snowmobile shop to make sure it was running top notch.

Obviously the polaris will smoke me in deep powder.. but who would win in a straight race on mildly packed snow? I would imagine I could easily take him.. but i'd like to know from you guys... thanks.

zrt should win but who knows how good your clutches are in it and shocks everything else in tip top shape I say you should walk him.

I think stock track size is .85 on the earlier 800 ZRT's.

Its .725 on the 95.

I forgot you had a long track, not sure what the stock lug was. Sorry about that.

Mikeisgod , what is the track length on you're ZRT, 121 or 136?

i'm not 100% sure... i picked it up this last weekend and the beast screams.. i'll write a little info about my weekend on it in a little bit... I "believe" the track is 136" x 15" x 1.5"

raced my friends Summit 583 and actually he gave me a run for my money for the first 25 feet or so.. (we were on like an inch of hard pack) i had real problems hooking up, but as soon as I hooked up I took him. This weekend we should be hitting up our normal playgrounds and he will hopefully be taking out the Vertical Escape, i'll let you know how we do in a little bit of snow that I can actually grip on.
