Anyone interested in trying to set up a SW Lower Michigan HCS ride? Just curious, because my sister and a few of my friends have places there.

Never ridden there, I'd probably be in if it was descent.

The Hartford, Gobles, Siisters lake area. Decent when there is snow. It's about 2 Hours from me, but I can go at any time. Lets hope they get enough snow by Opening day.

Mark me down...I ride that section often as it is close. Let me know if you need directions to staging areas.

I would be up to try that area out, let me know it is about 1 1/2 hours from me

I would be very interested. I live in Dorr and ride the trails around here when there is snow (not very often). Put me on the list!

I was thinking of heading up there friday night if they get the snow that is predicted

I'd be intersted. Its not the best riding, but I'd come out to meet some people and have a good time.

I live in Niles, ride all over down here, I am very close to the trails. Lucky to be able to ride right out my garage to them.

Those niles trails get so whooped on when we get snow. But we also have a few othe trails here that used to be private club that is not so bad. Then there are a few more that hardly no one hits them because they do not know they exsist.

We did not get the snow!!

I will be in for sure.

Count me in , where would you stage?
Indian Lake Pub?

they got about an inch or 2 that's it right now

it's about 2 hours from me

last year the trails were marked the best I've ever seen them.

about 3 hrs (doing the speed limit) if you go to niles. but, the last hour or driving you are basically paralleling the trails. your best bet is to catch the trails around paw paw then you can pretty much go south and hit the loop and you'll only back-track about 4 of 5 miles to get back to your trailer. if you go to decatur, you can just ride the loop with no back-tracking. these are good trails with plenty of snow....however, if the snowfall doesn't keep up with any heavy traffic, they turn bad really quick. also, a good porttion of the trails are on vineyards and groves. if you go STAY ON THE MARKED TRAIL. i don't mean to be an ass, but last year, a section of trail was closed because a bunch of worthless morons trampled some poor farmer's trees.

before you go call these hot-line numbers to check the conditions.

the above #'s are of the 5 clubs that maintain them. you will ride 3 of 5 areas if you ride the loop. also, you can go to Trail Maps And Reportsand see all the major trails in MI.

I'd like to try something different too. Keep the posts coming.
