I am taking a Safety Class with my oldest daughter who is 11 and will turn 12 in March. My youngest daughter is 9....is she to young to take the course with us? They both love snowmobiling and I was trying to kill 2 birds with one stone so I don't have to go through it again in a few years with my youngest....not that would be a bad thing. dunno.gif

thanks in advance :help:

i think you can be any age.. after all. if you were born after 7/1/84 you must take it!

Actually the law here in Vermont states that you can operate a snowmobile after you are 8 years old, you just can't cross roads until you are 12 and have taken the Safety class. At that point he/she can cross/ride along roads only under parents supervision. Then either 14 or 16 (can't remember exactly), they can ride with any adult over 18. The whole point of this system is to encourage families into the sport and help out future riders get the best experience possible :div20:

I am more than confident that my oldest daughter can pass this Safety class. Your inability to spell may have something to do with your not passing the Safety exam....just kidding. It is all good. If she passes or not, she will get some good info and still go riding with dad.

Thanks for the info....looks like it is about to snow outside real soon. Weatherman is calling for 6-12 inches by tonight, more on Thanksgiving. :fluffy: turkey.gif snowfall.gif

anybody can take the safety course. But you have to be 12 years old the get the certificate. They will not give the test to anyone under the age of 12

students must be 12 years or older on or before april 15 2006, to receive certification.

the snowmobile safety course reading comprehension level is 6th to 7th grade.

i hope this helps to clear things up about the safety course
