Are the new Vermont trail maps ready yet? I sent for a couple and have not received them yet. Any word on when?

I attended a Washington County trail meeting at VAST headquarters a couple of weeks ago and was told that this years maps would be available in early December.

are there any changes from last year? worth getting?

I know many of the feader trails in the poultney area are now class 1 thanks to the hard work and dedication of our club members.

From what I understand there will be some big changes in this years map. VAST has had a crew out with a GPS and their work is now complete. The new maps should be much more accurate than in the past.

Thanks guys , I am considering a saddlebag trip from Tug Hill in NY through Vermont and back. I am anxious to get the maps and see if what I want to do can be done or not. If it can I will send for our Vermont trail passes. And enjoy a week in Vermont. Thanks.

if there is adequet snow ( usualy is ) you will definatly be able to do it. Vermont system is state wide

I don't remember many years when there weren't changes. For the small amount it costs, it can save you from even a small change sending you way off course. Just my opinion though...
