Theyre calling for highs in the 30s next week and some snow (even in southern WI). :div20:
:beerchug:

:celebrating:
www.weather.com is also calling for snow all next week. It probably wont stick because the ground isnt frozen, but its snow nonetheless.

I always said"The harder you wait the longer it takes"..I know it doesn't exactly make sense but kinda does. The anticipation for winter is harder to deal with when your constantly thinking about it and waiting for it to show up.You know it will come, just be patient and find stuff to keep you busy until the lakes freeze and the snow piles deep! :beerchug:

It snowed all day here. The snow wasn't sticking anywhere but on the moss and grass in the swamps for most of the day. It was a pretty light snow for most of the time but every couple of hours there was a really heavy snow with big flakes. I was out in the woods setting up my tree stand when the really big stuff was coming down and I didn't have my camera with me. Here are a few that I did manage to get though.

Snow is here. We got about 1 1/2 in of wet slop but it was white and it was snow. Ground is so warm that a lot of it melted. All of the feilds behind my house are white. 6in. or more sounds like its coming tuesday. I check the weather every 30 min. this time of year. Its killing me to wait for the snow. I always get the bug about half way through october. Dont want to much yet, makes the hunting a little harder. Cross your fingers

I talked to my parents tonight (they live in St. Germain) and they said that they got about 1/2" today, but that it wasnt sticking to the ground (obviously the ground isnt frozen).
Its still early, but its good to see the temps coming down and snow in the forecast.
Youve gotta figure, X-mas is in about 5 weeks, so the snow and cold should start coming soon.

Snowmobile Trail Conditions Report.... Skyview Lodge
Last Updated: Nov 14th
Talk about turning on a switch!! We went from fall to winter in about 6 hours Saturday. Temps started out in the upper 50's and ended up in the lower 30's and snow. Heavy wind and snow again hit the area Sunday with about 1-2 inches left behind. Very cold here at 7am Monday morning with temps in the lower 20's. We are now under a Winter Storm Watch for Tuesday night into Wed with 6-12 inches of snow on the way. The forecast is for cold temps and more snow as far as I can see!!! Adam

It was 2 degrees this morning and around 4 PM it only got up around 20. The small lakes and ponds have a nice layer of ice on top and one of our lake's bays has a layer of ice over it. I took the F7 out for a quick ride around the yard earlier and now it's snowing again to cover up my fresh tracks. It's only snowed about an inch in the last couple of hours but at least it's something. It's supposed to be in the mid 40s a couple of days next week so hopefully not too much of it will melt.
Winter is here!
