Where can I get the electrical wiring map for a PRO XR -04, or can anyone tell me how to conect a reverse switch?

I guess that the wiring is already in place, and you only need to plug in the reverse switch.

heard about this? that the 04 pro xr had a reverse capable ignition??
and only the switch need wired in.
interesting

You also need to change the Helix, Polaris sells a kit for 99$ including Helix and reverse switch.

reason for not installing must have been the extra ounce that the switch saves???
Racer254
Probably didn't want any of the racers being smart a$$es by going up past the start line then putting it in reverse to back up. JKidding.

does anyone have the part number and will this work for the 440 pro-xr?

ttt for this topic, I would really like to know if this is true and what the part number is
jakke
The part number is #2874759, but I don't think it will fit on a 440 becuase it uses a different CDI box.
ESFR Pro XR
I have it on my pro xr. It works great. I might be looking to sell it.............. Look on Polaris' website, the kit is on there.

just purchase the switch its like $10, the wiring is already there just plug in the connectors and away you go, just get your hands on a reverse cut helix somewhere along the way

Click to view attachmentClick to view attachmenti have put the kit in, wery nice upgrade, not wery hard to mount, just mount the button to the steering, draw the wire to the conecting, replace the helix with a grooved one, and of you reverse  , but the only thing you really need ist the butten and it is the same butten as kill switch for a Kawasaki kx250 dirtbike, not wery expensive... i milled my original helix with grooves so the secondary can lock up an not try to shift, i liked the adjustability with the twin trax helix, heres some pictures of the OEM kit and my newly milled helix, and the milled helix works great... :div20:
