What's the brightest headlight bulb I can get for my 1995 XLT?

The old stock one could be brighter.

Thanks.

Thanks.

putting in a 100 watt bulb does not get you as much as you think. the reflector size hasn't changed. it's better yes, but only marginally

i put in a PIAA super white 100/120 in my '95 XCR 600. it really helped out, way brighter. it has a tendancy to kill the lighting coil at idle, but works fine at rpm even with the hot grips on high.

I put a xenon 100 watt bulb in my XLT. As racerdave indicates, the design / reflection of the 'ol wedge headlight assembly is the problem, not necessarly the bulb itself. That said, the bulb is slightly brighter, and at about $15 for the bulb, it's probably worth it.

Besides, you can get 'em with tinted colors and everyone knows that looking good is the real object of snowmobiling.

Xenon purple tint
