Last year we had enough snow in South Bend, Indiana to ride on Thanksgiving day. Will we be so lucky this year?
We could see a flake or two sometime this week. My bet is that we get at least 4" on November 21st.
What's your guess?

(if you can't tell, we need something to talk about in Indiana)

Welcome Flight I live 3.5 mile east of 49 just north of Rt6 just past Jackson Elementary Where that beautiful pink color is on my map. I ride my house to Laporte quite often. Once in a great while I have a good buddy in Cedar Lake and we ride from his house to Kankakee River. Snow permitting.hope to see you out here, not to cats around here all rev doo's .and funny thing is there is a Arctic Cat dealer in town.

BudMan.... I live west of 49. there is not too much riding this way because of all the FIPS

moving out here and buying up all the open land. my buddies and i have made it to 49 just north of kouts, but we never made it too far east because we didn't know the area too well. if we get snow like we did in 2000-2001 winter, we'll definately try again for east of 49. don't worry we all run cats too.
it would be nice to know a good path to run out that way

Anyone get any of the Lake Effect 12" that they predicted. I am LaPorte and its 7:30 am and it just started snowing. It doesn't look like we will be riding on Thanksgiving this year.

Looks like our weather predictors are doing as good a job as last year! 3-5 last night?!? Where?!?!?
I was planning on using my sled to put of trail signs tomorrow. Guess not.

Hey guys in the Indiana snow belt, keep us posted. Any of that lake effect yet? How about SW Michigan, did they get any? I'm ready to ride this weekend.

Trails don't open until Dec. 1st. Please don't ride until then. Like I said, the only reason I may get my sled out, is to put up trail signs. I was planning on tying the signs in bundles and strapping them to my foot boards.(I guess I need to get an ATV!)
In regard to snow amounts, not even an inch here on the trail. I went to Wayland, Michigan today for turkey, they had near blizzard conditions, but only about 3-4 inches of snow. The wind was very bad and at many times I couldn't see the road in front of my jeep. Not much snow in SW mich. The weather man is on crack again....
