Well, after what seems like an eternity filled with parts screw-ups that have been out of my control, I got my sled running - that was two weeks ago. Got the cheque from my buddy this weekend...finally. Picked up my "new" sled ('03 rev 440) a couple hours later from another buddy. Had to take it out on the grass to see if it ran well. wink.gif All this talk of Woodlands had me a little antsy. Buddy decided to take his '04 440 for a little rip, despite it having no sliders...you can hear the rails being ground down by the track clips in the video. Threw on The Thing that I bought (happens to be the original prototype Thing for 440 revs), sounds pretty mean. Gonna have to take it easy through town with it on, that's for sure.

Anyway, here's the video. She pulls pretty good...almost went over the bars from the backshift. lol Looking forward to some snow. It's in a million pieces right now as I'm adding oil injection, tempaflow, the 10.5 gallon tank and getting the domes cut down to lc specs. Should be ready by snowfall. Looking forward to putting some air under it!

no helmets? .... nono.gif

is Devan racing this year? Did he get a new ride?
robm
Yes...we were being a little stupid without helmets. :frech32: Got caught up in the moment.

This marks the end of Devan's racing career. (So he says.) My brother actually bought his second sled (2000 sxr 700) the same day, so he's sledless right now. He wants a rev 800 mod to make trailable. He's sniffing around and I've been looking all summer for him but there's not very many around. snoxer if you have any leads a PM would be appreciated, I'm sure you've got a few contacts. Or anybody else for that matter, shoot me a PM with any leads on rev 800 mods for sale. Thanks!

my eyes and ears are open! :div20:

I'm gonna run the sno-x track this year, but I'm leaving the mod as a 700. Gonna trail ride it.

It's not worth it to build it down this year. I'll just run the 440.
robm
That 700 will be a blast off the track, I'm sure. What engine's in it/what year?Funny, but I've never run into another race sled on the trail?! Weird. Bunch of retirees here in SE MB, I tell ya. wink.gif

Lots of people losing money from the 600cc mod regulation this year...good for those who are looking to buy the 800 mods like Devan (if he can find one) as they're gonna go a lot cheaper, but the sellers will take a hit.

It's a 2000 zr snopro chassis, with a D&D 700 twin piper.

I've run it on the trail, in race trim, and it's pretty crazy.

An 800 mod Rev on the trail would be a handfull for sure!
