Hello fellow sledders!

I have a 2003 HPO. I had a 2002 Stryker 700 which I upgraded when I bent the A-arms and they offered me a deal. The HPO (800) is eating belts. The 700 did not. I prefer the ride of the Stryker. I am going to put an Expert-X 136" in mine this year and see how it goes. I really should tinker with the M16 more, but I want the increase in acceleration. Going to be selling the M16 136" and 1.26" X 13.5" studded track if anyone is interested. I just bought a new motor as I blew the old one up with a frozen oil cable. Guess I shouldn't have taken her swimming....

I have heard you can use an RX-1 belt in the Blade - any one try this? There is a dealer here who has a Blade, the says to use an SRX belt. I know of another person who had a belt issue.

Another issue is the speedometer resetting all the time - anyone have this? Did you buy something different?

I run the Yamaha 8DN belt on my 02' 1WX800 and it works fine. A friend of mine is the service mgr for Polaris and Blade dealer and made this recommendation.

I have a 2002 Blade that I added a 136 ripsaw to. It turned it into a totally different sled.
I have done many upgrades to mine including a lot of clutch tuning. I have never blown a belt.
I softened the primary and secondary springs and added lighter weights. I am also running a hyperlite secondary. I am using the stock Blade belts which you can get from Blade. I have tried the Yamaha belts, but they are a little too long.
You have to play around with the clutching until you get it right.
My Blade is also for sale if anyone is interested.

The 2000's were the first year and 42+ made it out the door. The 2001's had significant changes to several areas of the machine. Newer M10B, Muffler, Non billet parts, A-Arms reversed, longer frame, gas tank, aluminum tunnel, 600, 700, 800 engines as well as cosmetic changes. One of the biggest changes you can make to the handleing on your sled is to buy the 2001+ lower arms and swap the top A-Arms and cams left to right. This configuration makes the sled longer and will reduce some of the loose rear feel to the sled.

I was the first in NY with the 2000 Balde and then had the 2001 and 2002 800's, my brothers and nephew all ride Blades. Make sure you have the gearbox vent tube set up and run Amsoil 140 synthetic gear oil. It will quiet down the gear whine and last longer than standard gear oil. Another update is the bolts on the brake rotor. Here's a link of our sleds.

you may be able to get a belt directly from FAST for your specific model and year, or they should be able to point you in the right direction to buy a different on. call them, 218-744-2101.
