I finally decided to stretch my 136''. I am planning on ordering the Camo Challenger either 144 x 16 x 2 or 151 x16 x 2. And was also planning on going to the 8 inch billets tucked inside rail. has anyone done this on a 2000 summit 700? Any suggestions would be great.

I may be wrong...but doesn't the 2000 still have a 15" wide track?

Yes ..that is correct about the 2000 summits having a 15 inch wide track...if I understand it correctly you can drop and roll the chaincase and that will provide enough clearance to run a 16 inch wide track. I am still not sure that this is the setup I am going to with ...thats why i was looking for feed back from anyone who has done this conversion

I have a 2000 Summit H.M. 700cc 151" track. From what I can tell looking through my manual all they do is adjust the clutch and it has plenty of power to turn the track. Don't know if this is what you are asking, but hopefully it helps some.

Hey...Thanks for the reply. I am just looking to see if anyone has done this modification to a 136" 700cc. And if so do they have any advise or suggestions ...problems that they encountered. I think I have the clutching taken care of. I just picked up a team rapid Reaction secondary for cheap.....And it was practically brand new. I think the only other thing that I have found I needed to do was to change the spring in my primary. Any info is appreiciated.....thanks ..........Let it Snow.....Let it Snow

Good luck on the drop and roll they are a pain in the ass. As far as adding the 151 easy to do and the sled will perform great with the longer track.

the 151" is a great track on the 700 .. one of my friends put a 151" on his a couple years ago and we took it out to wyoming and it worked excellent .. i wanna put a 144" on my 600 but i figure i'll be better to just buy a new summit on the rev chassis .. just cuz i think they look bad-ass

Hey Sierra Doo
I can supply you with the rails and wheels you need. We are new to the direct aftermarket but supply Fabcraft, EZRyde, CMX and others with their rails. We make 1 pc rails out of 7129, same as all oem's, they can also be made to fit any size wheel you desire, this allows you to use your stock rear axle, much lighter than offset axle's. We also make wheels in 8", 9" and 10".
Let me know if you are interested. Whatever you decide to do enjoy. It snowed here last week!! I am ready.
Thanks and pm or email me with any questions.

I did a D/R on a 97 Summit (S chassis) and it wasn't hard, just time consuming (measure, fit, measure, fit, measure fit, THEN cut). I re-geared and changed the spring and ramps in the clutch. I got a suspension out of a 01 HM and just put it in (relocated) and ported the 151" track and have had no problems. I also got a tunnel extension.

If you havent found out by now you should definetly re gear it
How did the 16" wide go ? Were you able to fit it in with no problems?

The 16 " fit just right. you have about 3/16 and more on each side of the track for clearance. I have not seen any robbing of the track on the tunnel so far.

Hmm thats something I never knew. I thought a 16" would fit only in the Rev Chasis
