I have gon eto Whistler Blackcomb a few times to go snowboarding and love it in BC. I love it there. BC is so beautiful. Also, each time we have gone out, we take a day to go snowmobiling. I has been some of the best riding I have ever done. The snow bombs will kill ya out there.

My buddy lived in golden last winter, worked at the mountain teaching skiing and also worked at some nice restaurant in town. small town maybe you ran into one another, his name is Colin.

Well I'm currently in Edmonton AB, BUT I like spending my winters in BC. Last winter I put about 1000km in the Nelson area. Mostly in the SnoWater area but a bit up in Six Mile. Now I'm looking to buy in the Castlgar or Rossland area. I haven't sledded either but housing prices seem to be ok. Anyhow, PM me, email me if ever ya wanna hook up. There's always lotsa room wherever I'm staying.

I[m from BC.

Just moved to winnipeg, when my apprentiship is done I'll be back. I grew up in North Van.

I also spent a few years in Terrace BC (graduated there).... I'll guess 150Km west of PG is.... Damn I can't even remember. I loved it up there.

Then I spent 4 years at university in Kamloops.

I wander around, its what I do....

God I love BC though, nicest place I've been in the world (minus all the rain the lower mainland gets in the winter)

Outside of Vancouver ride Whistler, Coquihalla and the Sunshine valley each area has its ups and downs. Ride Alberta too when the snow is good, and if it times out with when i head out there.
J_E_Summit
Thats funny, I am from Smithers and am currently taking engineering in Kamloops. Best sledding you can find has to be in Northern BC, massive mountain ranges where you can ride all day and never see another group! Oh, and 150K west of PG is Vanderhoof. What did you take in the loops and what kind of apprentiship?

I'm new to this forum and living in Kelowna. Just checked the web-cams and it's snowing at Big White and Silver Star right now! I was quadding up at Graystokes 2 weeks ago aand there was 10" of the white stuff up there. It's getting close!!
While I'm here, anyone got any feedback about a Yamaha triples? I just bought a pair of 700 triples (1999 and 2000). Both in awesome condition and low kms. I've never ridden a triple. Anybody out there have or had one? Any advice or tips? i_need_snow.gif
Cheers

Welcome to the forum. I just moved back to Revelstoke last year, and cant wait for the snow. My experience with Yamaha 700 triples have been great ! they are excellent machines, and VERY durable. strong motor on that sled and very fuel efficient. I rode a mountain max for a few years and it was bomb proof. Last year I had an Apex with Alpine turbo and it was awesome. This year I am riding a FX Nytro with turbo kit as well. Let's just say I am addicted to BOOST ! thumbsup.png

Depends on alot of factors, like snow pack, weather, how far you wanna truck, how much snow you bring your sleds out in, but on average for me and my area I would say end of november to end of may, but the earliest I have ridden was middle of October, and latest was middle of June in shorts, and I know of some guys that ride year around if you got the cash to heli your sled to the glaciers.

Kelowna here.

Last week while at work I had to call a company located there, I wanted to ask the guy if he snowmobiled but I didn't think it would be very professional.

I wished I lived up there, you guys are very lucky.
