Not a shooter?

I hope "Your Woods" has a 20' tall fence around it, if not you won't see that deer next year.
firecatfever
nice buck, he will be a beauty next year :div20:
HuntFishSled
Yup...nice one. Looks like you've got some nice bucks on your property. Got to pass on some to produce the real trophys. :div20:
jmp2204

Ya right. dunno.gif
HuntFishSled
It's not hard to believe they'd pass on that deer. Alot of trophy hunters pass on bucks others would shoot. He posted this picture earlier and I'd pass on that smaller one if I knew this guy was still around.

Looks like the same buck to me. Just taken at a different angle.

DEFINETLY NOT the same buck.

You can tell in many ways, especially the spread. One of the most obvious is the little fork on the end of the left main beam on the one, and not on the other.

I don't see a fork on the left. I do see one on the right, but you don't see that same angle in both pictures.

Is this what you're talking about?

Well, those 2 deer are about 70 MILES apart....not the same. The bigger 8 pointer is a shooter in my book. That deer is close to 150 inches. I watched a video my cousin took from his treestand of the deer at 10 yards. BIG BUCK.

I'll have more pics to make you all drool soon....stay tuned....hopefully get a picture of a dead one too. luxhello.gif

:div20: Even if they aren't the same, I'd have both of them hanging on my wall if I got a chance to take a shot at them. :cn:
2002ZR600
Would be a wall mounting trophy for me for sure!
cmscat50
Well, I got a picture of a bigger one...unfortunately on my film camera. Perfect 10 pointer roughly 145".
cmscat50
This 9 pointer is dead....hit by a car....I have half the rack...

Why do so many nice ones get hit by cars :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

In our area of Northern Michigan anything over a 6pt is a MONSTER. We have a pethetic age structure and gene pool. To many brown is down types. I haven't shot a deer will nuts in about 8 years dunno.gif Pretty much I am semi-retired from hunting at 36 years old due to disappointment. The MiDNR has managed to destroy our herd quality since I started hunting. I went from seeing multiple bucks every year to seeing none in the last 5 Flush.gif And I am a much wiser hunter than when I was 14!

Every now & then a nice one appears in the area...maybe a 130? But 99% of the time it is seen only because it was blasted in September by a car.

I am not so upset I didn't get a chance at it as I am that it didn't get to pass it's genes on.
