i have an 06 f7. im 160 lbs and 6 foot five inches tall, i have some leverage here but i still cant manage to get the skiis up very far. I took my blocks out, didnt really make much of a difference. I set cranked the little spring adjuster to the softest setting, made a little difference. I was going to loosen my rear shock in the rear suspension but i dont know how since it doesnt have a spring, should i loosen the front shock in the rear suspension?? I was also going to adjust limiter straps by drilling holes but i dont think there is enough strap there to loosen it up. i have a 1 inch track with 102 studs, i am getting good traction while doing this but i dont have much ski lift. Kinda frustrating since i have an srx that i can walk the ski with just as far as i want to. lol
thanks |

Exatly, i want to do that, but should i really take my limiter straps completly out?? I would personally not take them out! Do you have a Std or a SP firecat? If you have the STD, then the reason you can not stand it up is more than likely due to the lack of traction with the 1" track. Get a SP track or even better a 1.7" track and then try to keep the front end down.....its HARD! I put a 1.65" track on my 03 F5 and I could pull 3 ft wheelies with no problem! -------------------- Ironz Boyz

If the blocks are out and your straps are loose, you should be able to stand the thing up. If you get a SP track you'll be able to for sure.

i have a standard not a sno pro, i have never really heard of anybody completly taking out their limiter straps. I have heard of people loosening them by drilling holes but i dont know if i could do that since there doesnt seem to be enough strap remaining to make them any loose. But maby im wrong i will have to go check things out.
THanks |

No he means like this.
Loosen the straps and the torsion springs and tighten the front skid shock. also tighten up th front shocks. This sled only hasa 500 in it. Heres a really quick vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt7ft990imc and it will keep them up if i stay on the gas. This post has been edited by achotrod: Apr 5 2008, 03:35 PM |

jack the front shock in the rear suspension way up,take blocks out,you can drill one more hole in the stock straps, makes a bit of difference, losen front shocks(by skis),and try cracking her coming off a little bit of a bump,or mogol, then it should stand.

It has some to do with your weight my sled wheelies easy as hell, but I let my brother ride it and he could barely get the front up. 160lb=him__200lb=me

yeah. shouldn't matter on size of the sled...the bigger the rider the easier it will bring up the skis. I only weight 160 with all my gear on.

I have an 05 carb std F7 with 1 3/8 track snopro springs on the highest setting front springs as tight as they can go and my limiter straps tight. Here is a video. I think traction is your biggest issue. If i were you i wouldn't take out my limiter straps because i had a 93 indy sport 440 that i took the limiter straps out of and the slide rail went through my track.

Mine is a standard and I had 100+ studs in the track and it didn't want to hold the skis up. They would come up but not sraight up. I put a sno pro 1 3/8 track on it and it has no problem walking 20-50 yards at a time doing wheelies like this one bellow. Torshion springs all the way up, blocks at the first setting, front track shock stiff to match the sno pro front shocks. Nothing special. I trail ride it the same. There is no need to do anything special to be able to pull off a catwalk. There are only two things you need. Deep lug track, and power. You have power so get a new track and problem solved. You dont need to be a heavy rider either, guys brother needs more practice.
