the xp 800 spanks the 1000, and the 800, but the 1000 might win in a really long lake race tho.

Top speed the xps have nothing. But they do fly from 0-100. I was racing two of my friends with their XP 800 track was little over a 1/4 mile. They would let me get the jump on them by about 60'. They would catch me by about 1000' and then the sleds would just top out and stay side by side for the rest of the run. The sad thing is I was riding a 97 MXZ 670. If we had a gun out there I know that the gun would have said we were running the same MPH at the end of the strip. But they would kick my but in a race. They are the quickest sleds made this year. But as far as top end maybe 110 to 112 tops. Both of the speedo's were reading just under 120.

I RACED BOTH A F1000 AND A 05 F7 EFI NOT MORE THAN TWO WEEKS AGO ON A HARD PACKED LAKE AND BEAT BOTH OF THEM 5 TIMES STRAIGHT WITH MY BONE STOCK XP 800 ADRENALINE WITH 1" TRACK AND 84? STUDS. I TALKED TO MANY CAT AND DOO GUYS AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT PLACES WE GO, AND NOBODY HAS ANYTHING IN A STRAIGHT UP STOCK RACE TO BEAT THE 800R! THE GUYS WITH THE F7S DONT LIKE THE NEW TWIN SPAR BECAUSE THEY ARE SLOW, AND THEY ALSO ADMIT CAT NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING FOR THEM SO THEY CAN BEAT THE 800R'S.

well my friends brother bought a xp 800 and it runs very strong 2 of us ride f7s and we are all about even, when i say even his sled is all stock with no studs and both the f7s are clutched & studded, on good hard pack i pull on him hard out of the hole but with no studs i think i have the upper hand, he said he wants to stud it and maybe clutch it for next winter, if you ask me i'll probably be looking at his snow flap then....

I'm not saying you are wrong I just don't think that is the norm, it may be, but who knows? But we were testing (With a Radar Gun and GPS) 2 diffrent 2008 800 Xp X models. We were testing for diffrent clutch set-ups. 1.25 Ripsaw track studded and we were consistantly in the low 100's 104 - 106 + or -

When I race with my riding buddies F7 (studded, and clutched) it is pretty close. I beat him pretty well every time but only by about 2-3 lengths on the lake, with maybe 2-4" of snow on it. By the way I have 96 studs.

I've never lost to an XP with my F1000. It's not even close from out of the hole till whatever distance we race.

Yeah yeah we know, lets compare stock vs stock eh? Run one with 3K in mods, like your 1000, and let us know how you make out hot rod.
