My first cat in some years, got a low milage 01 800LE. Really enjoyed the sled so far this season, awesome in the bumps, always predictable and the most forgiving sled i've ever ridden including firecats. Has 500 miles and already needs a top end job though, but i guess thats the price to pay when the oil injection quits working.

I have an 02 green standard carb. This has been the best machine I have ever owned. Fast, hard pullin son of a gun and good on gas to boot. What is not to like?

This is the first time in over ten years that I hae not bought every second year. I like the sled enough to say i am happy enough to keep it for another year after this if all goes well. i am going to customize rather than pay extra coin for something that i may only like as much. She still rides great in the rough and wails around corners and flat out loves wide groomed trails. As long as the smile continues she stays in the garage.

I'm with Jester on this one. I have the same sled as him. I've done some tweaking over the summer. Can't wait to test it. I'm very happy with my AC. ZR8RIDER

Got a 2002 ZR8. LOVE IT. Twin D+D pipes, 192 picks, power breather, D+D clutch kit, CC rear springs,Black Magic 130 mph speedo, and this year I put in gears and chain from a 03 zr9 (26/41) Now a favor. Could someone please post a pic of their zr8 carb. I took the shocks off the front to be recharged and don't know if I have them installed properly. ( shock body up or down, springs will only fit one way on the shock) TIA ylsuper.gif

Shouldn't matter...but the CC's and LE's are shock body up and the non-LE's are usually down.

I really like my 2002 zr 800 power, handling, dependability, etc. Its got a clutch kit, v-force reeds, jetted, and the x country suspension. It was great until I bought my 03 ZR 900. The 900 is superior in every way imaginable. It basically has the same mods as the 800 does, but it rips instead of just being quick. The 800 is still a good sled for the wife - she loves it so I'm happy!!!! :div20:
