the noise level sounds stock, if you have a jaws pipe I suggest you buy his pipe wrap kit or wrap the pipe your self with 2 inch header, wrap 50 foot roll.If you are going to wrap it only cover it where the stock covers are on the stock pipe.never wrap the head pipe..start in the tail section and wrap toward the center ,then up to the bend, then back..use stainless wire to secure..

x4 the support for doc. I've never seen him post info that wasn't of the highest quality. If I was an east coast guy I wouldn't think twice about letting him dial in my sleds and paying him what his time is worth. Doc I hope you make it to st. Germain this year with Tom and whoever else shows up. Can't wait to see all those badass sleds go at it.

So would wrapping my SLP pipe with ceramic coating be benefitial or would the wrap rust out my pipe? What gains are to be had?

Back in the day, I had some mfrs tell me NOT to wrap the pipe in certain instances, so it is a question I'd ask before doing it. Depending on how much you wrap, you can potentially change how hot the pipe gets and the way it behaves on your sled (not always in a good way, either). The factory pipe has a heat shield, but was designed and tested with that in mind.

yup and underneath that is insulation, the wrap comment was intended for gregs pipe, he designed a cover for it similar to the stock covers to retain heat...don't take my word for it call him directly if you like.Thats where I got that information
