Ya, I'm so used to their mistakes, wasn't surprised at all, last night my wife came home and told me up to 15 cm. by morning. I then applied my "formula", cut it in half, then a 50% chance of that. I'm looking out my window at 2 cm. Guess I gotta rethink my formula.
Radar shows the snow now more north of were they forecasted , were supposed to get 10 cms here in Bracebridge ,yesterday they said we wouldnt get anything , hard to beleive there wrong AGAIN
Watching the radar map on theweathernetwork.ca it looks like this storm is broken into 2 parts and the second wave isnt going to hit the GTA area until about noon.
Getting hit hard right now in G-Hurst, went for a ride on the bay and couldn't see 20 feet ahead. There is a large pressure crack out by the 2 huts just north of the wharf and is completey covered now, if you don't know about it and hit it hard you may end up doing some serious damage. Go very easy in this area as it comes up quick... about 12cm already and still snowing heavy
We got about 15cm of wet packy snow in Prescott. Just came in around 6pm from blowing out the driveway and walkways. Should be fun on the trails around here tomorrow. Be careful of the ice under the snow on the corners, even if your studded, cause there is just enough snow to keep the track up high enough that the studs won,t be grabbing much ice. Have a great week-end, be drive safetly.
Looks like 10 - 15 in Ottawa on the ground now.. wet and 0 degrees and radar shows that most is now done. Enough to put us in business for the weekend!
The season is done in south ont, Even if we got a foot still need to set up and groom, and we know what happens after that.....melt down!!!
South clubs may as well put there shit away. Any side bets on this??
:snack:
Strathroy is basically in a snowbelt, and never even started a groomer this year to my knowledge...absolute shit year for snowmobiling, and suspect a few dealers will go under too!!
I'm not gonna complain. If your hardcore, you drive for snow! That's pretty much the story for this winter and the guys that are logging miles will drive for it. I've been minimum 3 hour drives to get away for weekends chasin' snow and logged about 2000 miles this season and I know guys that have done more! Let's keep our fingers crossed that the great white north keeps it up so we can sled until April!
