Temp on you assault 800

What temp does the assault 800 run at in good snow conditions.

125 - 129 is where mine is at all the time. 1.75 backcountry track on it.

Thanks. I ran my 2013 assault 800 for the first time yesterday with 0 miles on the sled on icy trails and I averaged 155 with no studs.

I am a little paranoid about my sled running hot because my 2013 SB 800 pro r overheated because the nut on the water pump impeller came loose and my engine overheated.lol

Are you running scratchers at all?

To top it off, when I raced him, my sled still had it's first tank of fuel with oil mixed in, and only 86 miles on it.

Yeah that's no good. I don't think you want it that hot for that long. Granted it doesn't give you a temp warning until 200+ I think but still it should be 125 to 130 most of the time. I can keep my RMK Assault with the comp track at that in most snow conditions short of glare ice with my scratchers down.

I pulled over every 10 minutes or so, and let my sled cool down for 20 minutes or so.

I did that several times because I knew not to push it.

My sled never goes over 127 and runs 123 normally, I run slidekicks scratchers, I used to run the stuff wire scratchers but I forgot them down and reversed once so then I went to cable ones
