Default Clutching for the Black Hills 2012 F8

Hey, need to know if stock clutching is good for 5 to 6000 ft. All other brands need something and dealer says f8 is good. Help?

The elevation there is around 5800-6800. Depends on how you want it to run. You will be down on RPMs so I would get some lighter weights.....but that's just me.
P.S. When are you heading up there? I just got back last night and will be going up again Wed-Saturday 02/29-03/03. They got 16 inches while I was up there.

the snow was nothing the wind drifted everything shut last night. tried to go today and quit after 4 hours of being stuck. groomers will be out soon and then it will be fine. stock helix is good lighter weights by a couple of grams.

If the weights really are too light, then they should be perfect for the Black Hills.

Just got back after 4 days of riding he black hills. Stayed at Terry Peak, I ran stock everything with my xf800 and seemed fine. I will reclutch next time and change to a different helix. If you are just trail riding you will be fine. The snow was deep in the woods, 3-5 feet deep, really good boondocking. The only thing I wish they did better in the black hills is groom the trails more than once a day. Very rough getting home at night.
