Agreed!!! Also if there was ever a warranty issue that would not be a factor.

Hatch, I can't quite tell from your avatar pic. Are you talking 2 cycle oil or 4 stroke? I plan on using a quality synthetic 0w-40 oil like Mobil-1 in my 4 stroke, but would stick with Cat 2 Cycle oil if I had bought the 800.

Agreed! We need another oil discussion here like a crack-head need a hit.

Seriously, this horse has been beat to a quivering, bloody pulp. The engines in the Arctic Cats have not changed his year. Therefore, all of the discussion, opinions, whining, "my-oil-is-better-than-your-oil" are just as valid now as they have been for the last 3 years.

Do a search on the various other sub-forums if you're interested in the details.

Well...... I guess this is a touchy subject!!! Just curious as to how many were sticking with the cat oil on the 2 strokes or going to run something else. Wasn't looking for it to turn into a oil bashing thread, but thanks for your negativity.

Sorry, it wasn't intended to be negative. But if you search around, you'll see what i'm talking about. It's not about the bashing, it's just that there is already endless discussion, babble, opinion, & "scientific" testing out there to fill a library.

All oil is good oil nowadays. Some might just be a little better than others. When was the last time you heard of an engine failure directly attributed to the quality of the oil,,,2 or 4 stroke? Hell, I use Citgo Sea and Snow in my F7 with perfect results...... at $2.50 a quart.

Yep- it is negativity. I'm happy to own it.

If you have been paying attention at all, you would know that oil threads are like poison....on virtually any forum.
