Has anyone had one of these on a Dyno yet to verify what they are actually putting out?

I have spent a lot of time dynoing these motors. 177 is advertised hp at sea level. Since the ecu automaticly increases boost to keep the same absolute pressure as atmospheric pressure drops, the corrected power gets higher as the barometer drops (or altitude increases). So, most seem to be in the 180-185hp range when dynoed at 1000 to 1500ft elevation. If we were to dyno at 10,000ft, power would correct to over 200hp.

Hallnracing,

My understanding is the 2012 is the same engine/Turbo/ECM package as the 2009-2011 Z1T, am i correct with this? A smart ECM is an incredible piece, does the factory gauge have a knock sensor indicator?

How close has the factory clutching been on the Z1T's?

Yes, same engine/tune up. Factory det protection retards timing up to about 6 degrees until knock is eliminated. If knock is still detected, it will retard another 5 degrees, while also dumping the boost and displaying "octn" on the guage. When this happens, the sled will need to be shut off and restarted to regain boost and timing. Horspower is much lower with retarded timing, so be sure to run at least 91 octane fuel. Factory clutching has been acceptable for trail riding on previous turbos. Even at stock boost levels, big changes have been needed to grip the belt from a standing start in high traction situations.

Even if the 2012 is identical in horse power at the crank.
Don't forget, chaine cas is back.
It should be a solid 10+ percent increase in hp to the track.

Thanks Hallnracing, amazing tech for the cash. What gears do the F and the XF come with? F w/ 2.52 & 9 tooth drivers, XF 3.0 with ? drivers?

Anyone have any track dyno dumbers on the previous turbo's in stock trim? Curious to see a quanitified change without the DD.

Thanks for your patience with these basic questions fella's.
