I learn very little, because when you don,t know everyones set-up, you don,t really know if the playing field is level. And I never base any buying decisions, based at what I see run at any of these events. I take the results of the day, as just that, the results of THAT day. They do provide some good times and a chance to tease your buddies.

I learned if you dont drink that often, 4 am bedtimes with several shots makes for a long day of puking on Saturday. I also learned 168 studs in my speedtrack do not hook enough. I will have to have a drag track for dragging now.

I learned--
Tony's test track has a bump in the middle of it. Some of these Boyz take this shit waaaaaay to seriously!! Barney was a BLAST! Blake shouldn't drink till 4 am. Paul from Hastings has his shit right! lil Jason can drink and race. Don, Jackie, Jack and crew do a fabulous job prepping the track, and helpin people get their shit down on the ice. My shit's not fast enough. I had a lot of fun!!

What he said!^^^^^^
& don't count on running on packed snow for long when there's only a little bit of it on the lake! & I hate putting picks in just to race on ice 1 day a year!

next year. the only reason i cant show up next year is if i am out of state again.
i guess i wanted to take this topic to the trail sleds stock or not dont matter. so if jasons sled is right and tight, then what can you take to your sled from watching his run? dont just run what he is running for clutching and gearing. but how his sled reacts and runs. theres always excuses, I didnt have traction, i am to heavy, ![]() i thought the purpose of this shoot out was to watch each others sleds run and learn from each other to make the bar a little higher every year??? |

![]() No excuses....I had traction...I would say the 3rd best. Paul and Jason just had more!!!!!! 244 on a 121 and 288 on a 136. I had 168 on 121......Race was over in the first 60ft. Seen it first hand. |

As for learning, I always pick up on something, and overall, many of the guys sleds are a long way ahead of where they were in earlier years. I was wondering who made the most changes during the day Saturday? The fastest guys always make the least, assume that the homework was already done!
