Default looking to put a triple in an edge chassis

im looking for some info on what to do to make this happen. id like to put an xcr 800 in but I have an ultra motor laying around so I figured I could start with that. I know the wiring harnesses have to be swapped and all that but does anyone recommend modifying the motor mount straps from the xc motor or getting a motor plate from somewhere? Im assuming the belt would stay the same? I see some guys are putting different carb boots on the xcrs could I use the ultra carb boots? any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

I have the modified xc straps in mine because that is what my pipes were made to fit with if starting new I would use the plate you could probably use the boots not sure how the round slides would fit its pretty tight between the carbs and air box.

When I did my EXCR install I used the EDGE engine mounts & set the engine on 12" centers to run the XCR 1075 belt. Left lots of room between the rack mount 38's & the air box. I ended up using stainless velocity stacks in the original edge air box boots. By using the Gen2 XCR motor & CDI box the wiring was basically all plug & play, only had to extend the pink wire & the blk/white wires. Not really as big a job as it looks like, only tough parts are the right rear mount & fitting the pipes in so they don't burn the body work. I didn't want to alter the bellypan to use the XCR muffler so I built my own out of an SLP EDGE can & the inlet collector from an MBRP XCR can. A little extra work but was worth the time I think. Good luck [EXCR's the sled Polaris wouldn't build]

Mine has been together for some time now, since 2006/07 and I used a Power Addiction Motor Plate, based the build off using the XCR 800 Airbox and even added Parrallel Path Cooling and running Boards to my Edge, I went 136 1.25 Track 108 Studs and used an 05 seat on my 02 Chassis.. this this is the Balls to ride stays consistently COOL just as my 2000 and 2002 XCR 800's do., I also swapped in 90/180 Springs for the Ski shocks

I really like the variations in all these Edge XCR's.
9944al, That exhast can idea is a very good one! Nice build!
John & I were thinking an Edge suspension stretched to 136" in a GenII XCR would be a whole lot easier, & probably ride and handle about the same?
My daughter inlaws love to ride the Edge XCR. You would not believe how it is on the trail, even for a very small gal riding it!
