Default 2007 switchback 600HO won't start

I recently purchased a 2007 switchback ! Sled started and ran strong about 2 weeks ago. However I went out to start it and when I reversed out of the garage it died on me. Engine stuttered and quit. I realize there is no fuel shit of so it was getting gas. I pulled plugs to check it wasn't flooded. Let it sit and nothing when I pull it over now. Key is on as well as kill switch. Is security system triggered?

Please help

Considering you are new to this.....
Start with the basics. Spark ?? If yes check Fuel ?? (Add a little fuel to each cylinder and try to start with 30 second, make sure sleds not going to take off on you) if it starts up. Well check carb, fuel pump, and somewhere between gas tank and engine .check all this first. Hope this helps

is this a c.f.i.? as they made both carb. and c.f.i. that year. no security system on that sled. if its a c.f.i. the fuel system needs to be primed.and it can flood trying to do it by starting the sled. it can also get air locked. don't run a c.f.i. low or out of fuel. this will kill the $550 fuel pump. these use a smart valve pick-up in the tank with a inline vapor seperator. they don't like being run out of fuel. you may have to prime it with a battery and a power up cable?

This machine is carb. And it does have a factory security system.

First you may want to post this in the IQ forum.

Second, I had a similar issue with my 2007 carb last year. It just died on my wife and it would not start. I checked for spark and it had NONE.

Got it home and took out the air box and the ignition plug was unplugged. I got lucky. The only thing that happened was that I was in pretty much a rage. I'm good now.

there Should be a fuel shut off. Did you turn # 20 the fuel valve on?

i didn't know a security system could be installed in that. but if it works like the ones on the newer sleds, it will start but you can't drive away with it. if you try security scrolls across the gauge a couple of times. i guess something could be messed up with it? but i doubt it.

but first do you have spark?

is fuel getting to the carbs?

do you have good compression?

if all this checks out then probably the carb,s need to be cleaned? the needle in the needle seat assembly maybe stuck? this is common now adays.

oh is your fuel bad? i just had a sled in my shop, the onwer had been starting it right along like once a month. the last time it wouldn't start. i tried before i siphoned the fuel out. the fuel phase seperated. meaning the ethenol absorbed water until it recearched its satuation point and dropped to the bottom of the tank. this won't burn. this could be it also?

Sorry this is off subject but I swear this is what's going on with my street bikes.
I drain fuel after every ride now. Only rode twice all summer that's why they are up for sale.

yeah i hear you. the fuel is so bad its not funny. f-----g epa and the goverment in general. there is no need for the shit we have to use in our powersports toys. snowmobiles use less then 1/10 of 1 % of the total fuel usaged in the u.s. like we really make a difference?
