Default 800 Rush fuel guage problems

My 12 800 Rush fuel gauge worked perfect for the first 500 miles.
Now it drops a bar after 5 miles and reads empty at 50 miles.
The float rod in the tank, if you pick it up to the fuel level it reads fine.
Is the float filling up with fuel. Talked to my dealer, they don't know anything
about this. Is anybody else having this problem and what is the fix?

I had to bend to rod in the tank to make mine read correct.

my float filled up within 300 miles. it was covered under warranty. I tested it by using mechanics wire and moving the float up and down and it worked fine. but then looked in and saw the float had sunk once i let go.

Did they replace just the float and what was wrong with the float?
Does Polaris know they have a problem?

Mine also flashes just after a half tank. I like to think that it's telling you you reached the point of no return.
